Gek's Miniature Art

My first miniature painting was created around 2010, motivated by my husband David who had taken up building dollhouses as a hobby in the early 1990s. After much persuasion from him, I created a miniature version of my own oil painting to decorate one of his dollhouses. As I was busy with painting life-sized canvases it was not until January 2015 that I started "mass production" of miniature paintings. Inspired by the works of my favourite artist, J.M. W. Turner, I started to reproduce his works in miniature. This painting is my reproduction of one of his most well-known works.
